Services
Rose Communication Therapy offers a unique service. I come to you!

Community Consultation
Many classrooms and camps are already set up so wonderfully for many students. However, it can be difficult to accommodate all learning styles. I will observe the classroom, listen to concerns, and provide guidance on how to create accommodations in environment, instructions, and/or peer training. Rose Communication Therapy can also provide classes and seminars to the community on working with children with communication and behavior needs. Please contact Rose Communication Therapy directly to set up a community consultation.

Speech Language Pathology covers a wide variety of communication disorders and challenges. Therefore, therapy will look different for every client. For example:
An articulation client might learn to practice sounds with the family during different routines.
A child learning to use language for the first time might watch their family members model words and sign language each day.
A student who stutters might practice making up stories to tell the family pet.
A family that experiences behavior challenges will collaborate and investigate to find the route of communicative intent and create interventions to support those individual situations.
No matter what you might need support with, I tend to take a holistic approach. My hope is to empower families and children to make speech therapy part of their daily life to create meaningful change for the whole family.

Research indicates that when parents and caregivers are trained to implement interventions, alongside regular therapy sessions, it is a more effective way to improve speech and language development. This way all communication partners are involved. Interventions are being implemented in more environments, which leads to increased opportunity to practice new skills and faster progress toward achieving goals.
