Do you take Insurance?
Rose Communication Therapy is not currently accepting insurance. I will provide clients with a superbill to submit and request reimbursement themselves. Families have had success with reimbursement from Health Savings Accounts using Rose CT superbills.
When asking your insurance company about reimbursement for out-of-network speech therapy, you can ask about:
Coverage: Whether your plan covers out-of-network speech therapy, and if there are any conditions or exclusions
Deductible: How much you need to pay before your benefits start, and if you've already met any of it
Coinsurance: What percentage of the cost your insurance will cover after you've met your deductible
Session limits: How many speech therapy sessions your plan covers per year
Out-of-pocket limits: How much you can spend out-of-pocket per year
Referrals: Whether you need a referral from your doctor to get speech therapy
Superbills: Whether you can submit a superbill for reimbursement
Claims process: How to submit a claim, including timelines and required documentation
Appeals: What to do if your claim is denied, and what the appeals process is
Pre-authorization: Is pre-authorization required?

Is Behavior a speech goal?
YES! Behavior is always trying to communicate something. When working with families experiencing challenging behaviors, first there is an investigative period to decipher what the function of the behavior is. Usually, behaviors breaks down to one of these four communication functions.
Avoidance/escape behavior
Attention seeking
Access to something or someone
Sensory over or under stimulation
No matter what the function of the behavior I can create plans to decrease challenges and increase communication.
